School’s out for Summer!

Then how come it’s so busy here at PTS?!! That’s right – the Seminary never stops teaching and preparing. This week Pittsburgh Theological Seminary welcomed Phyllis Tickle, Joseph Kwak, Scott Sunquist and nearly 100 CE students for the 2012 Summer Leadership Conference. The topic of discussion was “Toward the Future Church: Cultural Movements and Individual Stories of Faith.”

As I watched folks traverse the halls of PTS this week, I thought about how I am blessed to be a part of this community. A community that makes efforts to offer continuing education and a community of graduates, pastors, professors, church educators, laypersons and local congregations who seek to continue their walk with Christ. 

We together are the Church and we are charged with extending the Good News of Christ throughout His Kingdom! How better to do this than through communion with our fellow neighbor in Christ as we together study and further discern God’s call upon our lives!
